The SFPO submitted an application to the Kouga Wind Farm Community Trust (KWFCT) to finance the upgrade of the primary pedestrian pathway linking our CBD with the Sea Vista township. The Municipality also approved this upgrade to its servitude, and have cleared the bush from the servitude. We are waiting for the contractual agreement between the KWFCT and the Municipality to be completed.
Once this is done then the contractual agreement between the KWFCT and SFPO will be finalised. We expect construction work on the pathway to commence in January 2019. The scope of the project will include building and paving the pathway, installing adequate drainage, and installing lights and CCTV camera coverage. This pathway is notoriously dangerous for pedestrians who are often attacked and robbed by criminals.
