Compliments of the Season to everyone and a warm welcome to all our holiday season visitors and property owners!

  1. SRA

The Municipality adopted the amendments it has made to its SRA By-Law and Rates Policy on 15 November 2017, to accommodate the establishment of Special Rating Areas in the Kouga region. Several communities in Kouga, including St Francis Bay, have expressed their interest in establishing an SRA. The Municipality advertised the change in legislation, allowing for a 30 day public participation period for the submission of comments and objections. The Municipality held an obligatory public meeting in Jeffreys Bay on 28 November to present the revised SRA By-Law and Policy. The Council will meet on 19 December to approve and promulgate the revised SRA By-Law and Policy. This will then allow the SFPO Association to start its SRA application process. We will do so with a public meeting in St Francis Bay :

Notice of Public Meeting – SRA : 20th December 2017

The Community of St Francis Bay is invited to attend a public meeting to discuss the new SRA proposal. This meeting will be held at St Francis Links at 16h00 on 20th December 2017.

Following this public meeting, and the presentation of the SRA proposal, all relevant documentation in support of this proposal will be available on the SFPO Association’s website. We will then ask all property owners whose properties fall into the demarcated area to vote on the SRA proposal.

  1. AGM

We have separated our Annual General Meeting from the SRA public meeting, as the AGM is specifically for SFPO members. We encourage all members to attend this meeting. If you cannot attend please send Lyn Aitken your proxy. The proxy form will be available on the SFPO website.
