Schools Open Up
It is mixed feelings for many families across the country, as the school reopening roll-out officially begins today. With only two grades starting at the bigger schools, it’s a slow start, but as cases are growing all over the country, and especially here in the Eastern Cape, it is a bit nerve wracking for some.
The sanitizing process at schools is extremely thorough, and as long as protocols are maintained, it should be all good for teachers and pupils. Good luck out there. Stay safe.
For those parents who have been homeschooling their children for the entire time, well done, you made it. Feel free to celebrate. No other parents will judge you if you have a small glass of champagne with your breakfast.
New Sushi Restaurant
It has been disheartening to hear about so many restaurants closures across the country, and especially in the bigger cities. Still, in this terrible time of business upheaval there is also opportunities that are opening up in many sectors.
Talking of which, there is a new sushi restaurant in town, called the PORT SUSHI CO. They are brand new, located at the port and are causing quite a stir in the village, with good reviews on social media. We couldn’t find a Facebook page yet, but you can phone in and get a menu Whatsapped to you.

The Eastern Cape Department of Health has had to close Livingstone Hospital in Nelson Mandela Bay and shut down three units in Cecilia Makiwane Hospital in East London.
This is symptomatic of the deepening health crisis that is taking place in the Eastern Cape. More here:
